MRS. PATRICIA MILES
INSTRUCTIONAL COACH

Hi, my name is Mrs. Miles. I have been teaching at Iowa Valley since 2001.I share my time at both the elementary and secondary buildings as the K12 Instructional Coach. I earned my Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Iowa back in the late 80s with an elementary reading endorsement; but then added to my career in early 2000 when I went back to the University of Northern Iowa and earned my Masters of Library Science. I was the Teacher Librarian at Iowa Valley from 2001-2015, but wanted to try something new and challenging when the new teacher leadership position became available. I strive to learn something new every day and hope to instill that love of learning in all students and staff at Iowa Valley. I have now added even more learning as I am teaching COmputer Science exploratory with 8th graders. My husband, Cameron, and I have raised two daughters in Marengo and are active in various organizations throughout the community. I enjoy spending time with family,(especially my grandkids), reading, hiking around Iowa’s parks, and have just started a stained glass hobby that I learned from my dad.
